Matt's BLOG☆『 Australia Day 』
Australia's official national day, Australia Day, is celebrated on January 26th. It marks the day when the first ships from Britain arrived in 1788. Most people have the day off, and events are held in most major cities. In my hometown, people generally flock to the beach or riverside, or barbecue with friends and family at home. In the evening, there is a huge fireworks show. Although it only lasts for 30 minutes, it is unique because it is synchronized with a radio show. The show plays music and narrates a different story each year. If you are ever in Australia on January 26th, be sure to check it out.
