本日は、アメリカ出身のSabrina先生からアメリカと日本のHalloweenの違いについて

スクールブログを書いてくれました！

Hello everyone, I'm Sabrina! It`s nice to meet you! As you all know, Halloween is just around the corner!

Halloween is such an exciting holiday to celebrate.

There`s costumes, Trick or Treating, and lots of candy. One way we celebrate Halloween in America is by Trick or Treating. We dress up as different characters, animals, or spooky creatures and go Trick or Treating for candy!

Trick or Treating is when kids dress up in costumes and walk from house to house in their neighborhood and ask for candy.

Usually, a whole neighborhood participates in the festivities by decorating their houses and making sure they have loads of candy for the children.

In America, parties are also thrown to celebrate Halloween.

Games are usually played at such parties, some examples are bobbing for apples and pin the legs are on the spider.

Bobbing for apples is when there is a big tin of water and apples floating and the players have to dunk their heads into the water and try to catch an apple with their mouths.

Pin the legs on the spider is played by blindfolding the player and having them try to pin a leg onto the spider.

These are just some of the games that we play during Halloween parties!

アメリカでは、やはりHalloweenは本格的ですね！

元々は収穫祭のお祝いですよね！

アメリカでも動物やキャラクター、不気味なもののコスチュームを着てパーティーをしたりハロウィンのゲームをしたりするようですよ！

私もゲームの内容を聞いたのですが日本にはあまりないゲームで面白そうでした！

また、お子さんたちはかわいいコスチュームを着て近所を歩いてお菓子をTrick or Treatをしにいきます！

近所を歩いてもらいに行くというのも海外らしいですよね！
