White Day is a special day where men give
chocolates to women one month after
Valentine's Day.

But did you know that it is a special
holiday that only happens in Japan?

In Western countries like Canada or
the U.K., people do not celebrate
White day. Unlike Japan, Valentine's Day
is the day where men usually buy women
flowers or chocolates so it was very
strange to see that men receive
chocolates on that day.

But I must admit, it is a nice change
to receive gifts on Valentine's Day
instead of giving it. Before coming to
Japan, I had never heard of White Day.
It is still surprising for me to see such
long lines at confectionary shops.
Now I know that I should prepare earlier
and buy chocolates days or even weeks
in advance.
