子育て中に使える単語とフレーズを教えてくれます♪

こんにちは！Olieです！

Recently I had my first child here in Japan. Here are some of the most useful new words and phrases I have been using recently.

Teething (verb)
When a baby's teeth start to come through their gum.
"When will she start teething?"

Winding (verb)
When you pat a baby's back to release any gas trapped inside them.
"She needs burping after every feed."

To put down (verb)
When you encourage your baby to sleep.
"She won't fall asleep unless you put her down for a nap."

Gurgling (verb)
A bubbling noise coming from the throat.
"What is that noise? Is she gurgling?"

Rock (verb)
A gentle swaying motion from one side to another.
"If you want to put her down, you have to rock her to sleep."
