Hello everyone, it's Kenn here!
Do you like fruit? What's your favorite?
I like fruit a lot, but I don't eat it so often nowadays. You see, back in my home country of Australia,
fruit was always easy to buy, and much cheaper compared to Japan, because a lot of it was locally grown.
On top of that, fruit in Australia is generally sold whole. I think that seeing my favorite fruits, like watermelon and pineapple, being cut up and packed in containers, kind of demotivated me from buying them so often here in Japan. But I still enjoy eating them when I have the chance!
Actually, while I was a university student, I had a chance to visit several fruit farms - bananas, oranges, various berries and even figs! I learned the process each fruit going from seed to tree, then shipping from the farm to markets. It really helped me appreciate the fruit I ate a lot more. I would recommend visiting a fruit farm or processing plant for yourself to see where all your fresh produce comes from!
So what do you think? Do you eat enough fruit? After writing this blog entry, I feel like I could go for some myself! Thanks for reading, and talk to you again soon! Stay tuned!
