Hi everyone, it is me Ricky! Hope you are all doing well.
Today, I am here to talk about some Japanese Traditions I like.
To start, there is of course the famous taking off of your shoes.
While this something I already did back in the US,
because I had carpet in my house,
It is nice to do with almost a sort of purpose here.
One good mindset that I heard about it
that I liked is that it is like leaving the bad of the day at the door.
So, once your shoes are off,
you can forget your problems and just relax.
Another tradition I like is that of bowing.
It is a very simple thing,
but it is a great way of showing respect
to others I feel.
While this next one may not be a tradition exactly,
I do enjoy how people behave at shrines and temples.
Temples and shrines are always so quiet
and peaceful when I visit, even if busy.
There is a quiet calming atmosphere to them
that while I used to go to church, is very different.
To me it may be that it is a foreign thing,
or maybe something is really different, about them, but I like it.
So yeah! Those are some of my favorite things about Japan and some of the traditions here!
There are so many more other things I don't know about, so feel free to tell me more
I would love to hear what you have to tell me!
Thank you very much for reading! Have a fantastic day! - Ricky
