最近暑くなってきましたね！

むしむし暑いときや

日差しが強くポカポカしていたり

ジリジリ暑い日もあったり！

本日はBrendan先生に

暑いときに使える英語表現を教えてもらいました。

Hello! This is Brendan. How are you?

It's finally summer!

That means it's time to turn on the A/C or open the windows because it's HOT!

There are many ways to talk about hot weather in English!

So let's learn some new phrases today!

First when you want someone to agree with you about the weather you can add "isn't it?" to the end of a sentence.

For example:

"It's hot today, isn't it?"

（今日暑いね、そうじゃない？）

You can use different words to talk about levels of heat.

Here are some words from low heat to high heat.

Warm - 20 C

Pretty Warm - 23 C

Hot - 26 C

Sweltering - 29 C

Scorching - 32 C +

Japanese summers are very hot so someties I say "It's scorching hot outside!"

Japanese summers are also very humid(湿気)!

To talk about humidy you can use the words "Muggy"(蒸し暑い) or "Soupy" (じめじめした)

for high humidity.
