もうすぐクリスマス♪

アメリカ出身のBrendan先生は

クリスマスが大好きで、

たまにサンタ帽をかぶって

ロビーにいます(笑)

クリスマス大好きなBrendan先生に

アメリカのクリスマスについて

聞いてみました♪

まるで映画のような過ごし方で

とってもうらやましい！

How are you?

Today I want to talk about

my favorite holiday, Christmas!

こんにちは！Brendanです

今日は大好きな祝日、クリスマスについて

お話します

I'll tell you how my family

celebrated when I was young!

私が小さかったころ、どのように

家族とクリスマスを過ごしたかお伝えしますね！

First after Thanksgiving my dad would

go to a tree farm and

chop down a Christmas tree!

感謝祭が終わると、

僕のお父さんはツリーファームに行き、

クリスマスツリーを切ります

Sometimes I would go too

and he would let me pick the tree.

時々僕も一緒に行って、木を拾います

After we took the tree home

we would decorate it

with a lot of pretty ornaments

and lights.

木を持ち帰った後、

たくさんのオーナメントで飾りつけをします

My family would also decorate

the inside and outside

of our house.

僕の家族は家の内側も外側も飾りつけします

Every house in our neighborhood

had lights

and it was always so beautiful.

僕の近所の家はどこも飾りつけで

輝いていてとてもきれいです

Inside the house we would

hang up stockings

near our fireplace.

家のなかでは、

暖炉の近くに靴下をかけます

We put up one stocking

for each person in the house,

even our dog!

家族一人ずつ、犬の靴下も

かけます！

On Christmas Eve many people

would go to a special

Chruch service

and have dinner with family.

クリスマスイブは

多くの人が教会のイベントに行き、

家族とディナーを食べます

Then before we went to bed

on Christmas Eve

we would leave out

a glass of milk and cookies for

Santa to eat!

ベッドに行く前に

コップ一杯のミルクと、

クッキーをサンタのために

おいていきます！

Finally we would get into bed

and go to sleep so

Santa could come to our house!

最後にベッドに入って眠ると、

サンタが家に入って来れるようになります
