アメリカ英語とイギリス英語って、

同じ英語でも違いが多いですよね！

今日はRicky先生に

その違いを少し教えてもらいました♪

Today I will be talking about

differences between

American and British English.

こんにちはみなさん、Rickyです！

今日はアメリカ英語とイギリス英語の違いについて

お話します！

To start,

the main differences are going

to come from pronunciations.

はじめに、

大きな違いは発音にあります

Many words are just simply said

differently.

For example, banana！

たくさんの言葉が違うように発音されます

例えば、バナナとか！

A lot of the other main differences

come from vocabulary,

and there is many examples.

たくさんの大きい違いは、

単語にあります

色んな例がありますよ

The first most common ones is

the British use of the word chips.

ひとつめの一般的な例としては、

イギリス英語はChipsを使います

What the British call chips,

Americans call French Fries.

イギリス人がchipsと呼んでいるものは、

アメリカ英語ではFrench Fries(フライドポテト)

なんです

There is no right or wrong answer,

just remember where you are when you speak.

正しいとか、間違っているとかではなく、

あなたが英語を話しているときに

どこにいるのかを思い出してください

Another major difference comes

from spelling.

他の大きな違いとしては、スペルです

For example,

Americans use Color,

while the British use Colour.

例えば、アメリカ人はColorを使うけど、

イギリス人は Colourを使います

So as you can see,

there are many differences

between British and American English.
