Hello,

I'm Becky and today

I will tell you about

my hometown Southport.

Southport is a town

in the North of England.

It is 30 minutes from

Liverpool and just over

an hour away

from Manchester.

Southport is

on the coast

and there are some

nice beaches.

It has some

beautiful forests too.

They are home

to red squirrels

and natterjack toads,

which are both

endangered species.

It has a lot of beautiful

architecture,

the town centre

has neo-classical buildings.

There are also some villages

in the town which have

very old buildings

that are over 250 years old!

My favourite things

to do there are

visiting the local art

gallery and museum

and taking a walk

in the woods.

There are a lot of bars

on the main street

and I enjoyed going

drinking there.

I hope that someday

you can visit.
