Hello everyone! (^^)

This is my first ever blog post here at AEON Sendai Izumi! My name is Steven Dodd and I am the new English teacher, replacing Kenn S. whom many have been sad to see leave. He has embraced a new opportunity in Tokyo and we all wish him the best of luck! I would like to offer my sincerest appreciation to Kenn for a wonderful introduction to the school and to Sendai, as well as making me feel at ease in my new position. Thank you Kenn!

I have been in Japan for almost one month and I am very excited to be here teaching English!

My personal hobbies include reading, yoga, swimming, photography, hiking and my new favorite hobby is cooking Japanese food! I have bought many Japanese ingredients for my kitchen and so far, I have cooked Oyakodon, Tamagoyaki and I will soon try to make my first ever Tonkatsu!

The food is very different from my hometown of Birmingham, UK. This is where I took the pictures!

In the picture, you can see the fantastic face of St. Paul's Cathedral. This is one of four spectacular churches in Birmingham City, alongside St. Phillips, St. Chads and St. Martin-in-the-Bull Ring. All of them have a fascinating history. This picture is one of my favourites of all the churches I have photographed.

I have many pictures of Birmingham and I would love to show everyone more! Hopefully in my upcoming Blog Posts I can show you some more!

I miss my hometown but I am very excited to explore the history of Sendai and find out lots of interesting things in Japan. Thank you for reading my first ever blog post!
