Winter food in England
【イギリスのごはん事情 in winter!】をご紹介します★
Hi everyone! Jessica here.
It's kind of cold outside, isn't it?
I'm sad that it's not snowing, but this is still definitely kotatsu weather.
In England, we eat a lot of hot, heavy food to keep us warm in winter!
In winter, thick soups and stews are very popular.
My family makes a delicious lamb stew with lots of meat and vegetables.
Lamb is actually popular in England because the UK has a lot of sheep.
We also like steak pies, often with french fries.
Cottage pie is also popular - that's not actually a pie, it's beef mince and gravy topped with mashed potato and cheese.
For dessert, we like fruit crumble, which is a sweet fruit filling with a crunchy topping.
Apple crumble is my favorite.
If you ever go to England, please try some of this and tell me if you like it!
