皆さん、リッキーです。

When you want to spend time

with friends

a casual way of saying that is,

Hanging out.

友人と一緒に過ごす時に使える表現は

「hanging out」です。

Hanging out is just simply,

spending time with people.

これはシンプルに「人と時を過ごす」です。

You can hang out at the beach,

You can hang out with a friend

and watch movies together.

ビーチだったり、映画だったり。

You can hang out and

ride rides at an amusement park.

All of those are hanging out!

遊園地で乗り物に乗るのにも

全てhang outで大丈夫です！

The where and the what

do not matter

for the phrase hanging out.

どこへ、何を、は関係なく使えます。

So now, if you want to ask someone

to hang out,

there are a few good ways to do so.

では、誰かとhang out したい時に

言う方法は....

The easiest way is the very simple,

"Hey, do you wanna hang out?"

一番簡単な方法は単純に↑で良いです。

wanna はwanto to の短縮形です。

Nice and easy.

簡単でしょう

If you want to shorten it,

you can "You wanna hang?"

もっと手短に言えば、↑となります。

カジュアルには Do を省略しちゃいます。

Both are the most simple things

to say if wanting to hang out.

上の2つが一番シンプルな言い方です。

Another way you can say hang out

is the more casual,

"Do you want to chill?"

他には↑が更にカジュアルな言い方で、

chillは、もともと「寒い」の意味ですが、

おそらくそれが cool と同じように変わり、

「落ち着く」「くつろぐ」となりました。

Another phrase

you can use if you want to

be a bit more formal is

他にもっとフォーマルな言い方もあり、

それが↓です。

"I was wondering if you were free,

this Saturday (ex.).

If not I wanted to ask (you)

to do something."

「wonder」は考えるの意味です。

wasという過去の時制がここでは

丁寧な印象を与えます。

So this is a much longer way

of saying you have interest in

hanging out with someone.

これだと長い表現ですが、

だれか誘いたいと考えていた人に対して

柔らかく使えます。
