Dear readers,
Today I'm back with another issue of YouTube Corner. This time, I will be introducing the YouTube channel for Mark Rober, a former engineer at NASA. As a former engineer, Mark often makes videos about do-it-yourself gadgets and popular science.
Many of his videos have gone viral, including a series of videos on a fake package designed to punish people who steal packages. Another video has him attempting to create a squirrel-proof bird feeder. All of his videos show some interesting science facts and often have him designing and building some kind of crazy invention, such as a rock skipping robot or a bowling ball that will always get a strike.
Mark has a very relaxed style of speaking that is easy to follow. In addition, a lot of his older videos have subtitles. If you don't understand a science word, you can turn on the subtitles and easily look up the definition. Of course, there may be words used that even native speakers don't understand, so don't feel like you have to look up everything! Mark doesn't upload videos very frequently, but the ones that are there are worth taking a look at.
Mark's videos are both entertaining and educational, so I encourage you to check them out! Please let me know in the lobby if you watch any of them! Next time, I'll talk about how I celebrated Halloween in America! Look forward to it!
