Dear readers,

I hope you're faring well! The sakura is in bloom now, so I hope you can take a walk to admire it.

As I'm writing this blog, it's my last day in Hitachi. I already feel nostalgic for this place. Yesterday, I went running along Heiwa Street. It was a lovely spring day, and I felt as if I was at the Sakura marathon!

I want to thank you all from the very bottom of my heart! When I first came to Hitachi, I was quite nervous about living by myself in a strange town. However, almost immediately, your kindness and generosity made me feel right at home. Hitachi School students gave me so much help and advice, even sometimes gifts! I felt like I had another family. When I told my mum how much the school took care of me, she was so relieved to know that I was living surrounded by wonderful people. We've had some great classes and great parties.

The atmosphere at Hitachi School made me cheerful every day. Thanks to the fun and friendly staff and students, I felt like I was coming to see my friends rather than coming to work each day. I had a really great time and I'd love to move Hitachi School to Tokyo to continue working here!

Even though I'm leaving Hitachi, I'll still consider it as my Japanese hometown. When people ask me where I'm from, I'll say "Hitachi"! I'll be sure to visit in the future for parties and festivals.

Thank you in earnest for making my two years in Hitachi so lovely. I have great memories that I'll cherish forever.

I wish you all the best of luck, with life in general, but of course with English! I hope you can reach your goals with your next teacher. Keep working hard and putting in the effort. I've seen so many of you improve a lot, and it gives me a great feeling.
