Describing talkers2018.09.09

Hi everyone! Jessica here.

In English, we have lots of ways to talk about talking!
We can describe people in different ways.

Someone who talks a lot is a "chatterbox".
This isn't always a bad thing!
Chatterboxes are often very friendly people.
They just talk a lot.

Someone who has very strong opinions and always says them, even if it's rude is a "loudmouth".
This is usually a bad thing.
Loudmouths don't care about being polite.

A little nicer way to say this is someone "inserts their foot into their mouth" or has "foot-in-mouth disease"
- they are nice people, but they say rude or silly things without meaning to.
Maybe they don't think about what they say before they say it.

Someone whose voice is quiet and gentle is "soft-spoken".
These people often have a "calming voice"
- they make you feel relaxed just listening to them.

Do you know anyone like any of these? Please tell me!
