Little things: Smoothies

A couple weeks ago, I wrote about how my New Years resolution was to notice and be grateful for the little things in life that bring me happiness. To keep myself accountable, throughout the year I think I`ll try to share the little things in my life that bring me joy.
These days I really enjoy drinking smoothies. I have one that I make that I especially love. It`s got avacado, fresh spinach, almond milk, coconut oil, and frozen blueberries in it. The avacado makes it creamy, the spinach gives it a bright green color, and the coconut oil and the blueberries add sweetness.
When I drink it I enjoy its flavor, but I also feel good about the great nutrients I`m getting from it. A lot of times I eat dark chocolate ( I strongly recommend Meiji 95% or Lindt 99%) with it, and the combination of the two is really wonderful.
In life, I think it`s really important to find foods that are healthy but also a pleasure to consume. For me, that means fitting foods like smoothies, mushrooms, and whole grains into my every day meals.
